Chronicles of a PhD

Green light! Officially in

Since the last entry, things have been moving. A co-supervisor from another university has been identified and, despite being in Malta for other commitments and having very limited time, he was kind and available enough to meet me and my principal supervisor for a meaningful drink.

After this, my application has made it through the university senate. I’ve just received the letter of acceptance. It’s official. Months of reading, note-jotting, nerves, mock interviews and occasional 3am existential spirals, and I’m in. Doctoral researcher.

Meanwhile, I gave a talk on meaning in art at the Philosophy Summer Festival, organised by the Philosophy Department at the University of Malta. You can read the transcript here.

It’s always a pleasure to share a few ideas in a more public setting,

And now the work really begins…
